blind dates

So tonight is a first for me…as I’ll be attempting my hand at matchmaking {go ahead and start humming the tune to Matchmaker, Matchmaker…it’s been in my head for the last 2 weeks}!!  I’m fully aware this could be potentially catastrophic to all parties involved…but there are times when one must live life on the edge and take chances!  Right??  Right.  I’m also aware that tonight could go exceptionally well.  I have my fingers, toes, eyes, and heart crossed for the latter.  Because in all honesty, I’d like to 1. keep said friendships 2. see two people I think the world of be happy and 3. have confidence in my matchmaking hunches.  I’d like to walk away tonight with my hands clasped and in the air cheering victoriously.  However, being one who has never benefited from nor experienced “beginners luck,” I plan to keep my hand by my side for now.  If there’s anything giving me a little ounce of optimism….it would be the happy and in love nuptials below.

Meet Suzan & Christian.  3 years after their first blind date in Chile, the two said their “I Do’s” on the St. Augustine Green in Rosemary Beach, Florida.  Their love and laughter was a true testament to them being quite the match!  Tonight I tip my hat to their matchmaker and hope to follow in their footsteps!  Suzan and Christian have set the bar high in the perfect pair department.  Tonight I shall stand on my tiptoes in hopes of reaching that bar…even if it’s just by the touch of my fingertips!!  I wonder…if I wear a babushka, perhaps it will enhance my matchmaking capabilities {for those that think I sound ridiculous, I’m referring to Fiddler on the Roof….}.  Should anyone see a blonde standing on her tiptoes adorning a babushka….just keep walking and please disregard.

Before I run off in search of a lucky matchmaking babushka, enjoy the beauty of this perfectly matched pair who now live happily ever after!!!!  Wishing you all a happy Friday….hoping that in return y’all will wish me luck!!

  • Suzan Gibbs - Wesleyann, I was just thinking of you. I just picked up the package you sent us with the thumb drive of pictures because I just got back to the US the first time this year. I wondered why it was so big when I was just expecting a thumb drive or CD. I can’t tell you how pleasantly surprised I was when I opened your package of joy. We loved it! It was so thoughtful and special. I first noticed the return address stamp on the box and thought “wow, how did she do that” because I couldn’t imagine that you had a stamp made for us. But you did! It was such a nice surprise. We loved the coffee and mug too. These were the icing on the cake. We truly enjoyed having you be such an important part of our wedding.
